When did you switch your baby from a crib to a toddler bed?
My son is only 7 1/2 months old right now. We currently co-sleep (because we nurse and it's been so easy and we love it!) but I want to start transition him into his crib we have for him. It's a convertible crib that transitions into a toddler bed...but I'm not sure how long I should have him in the crib before I turn it into the toddler bed. When did you switch it with your baby?
I let my daughter stay in her crib until she climbed out of it. Once she did that I knew it was time for a change...it took a few nights for her to actually stay in the toddler bed...but now we dont have any problems. This happened a few months after her 2nd bday

i never had a toddler bed for my kids once they were out of the crib they went to a regular twin bed with side protectors so they wouldnt fall out of bed in thier sleep i dont see the point in toddler beds at all so i didnt use them on any of my three kids

they were all about 13 months old. my kids were in bassinets from newborns to about 3 months, than cribs from about 3 months to 13 months than bed beds. i neVer had my kids in toddler beds. i just put them in twin size beds with one of those portable side rails on it up against the wall.

I just changed my DD’s crib to the toddler transition right after Christmas ..she’s just turning 2 next week.(Feb 16th)….
I think it really depends on the child …she had been in the crib since about 4months before that was a bassinet and co-sleeping ..If you are still co sleeping I would just wait and see how the transition to a crib works before worrying about the transition to a toddler bed unless you want to try to go straight to the toddler bed ..if that’s the case I’d at least wait till you LO is walking well enough to come to you if needed that’s just my opinion
