before we found out the sex of our future little boy we decided on lilce walls,so that if it was a boy wed have blue curtains,a girl pink curtains,ive also got a purple carpet coming now.but other colours that would work is lemmon .i always think that pale bue is for girls or boys. good luck ant way

Also bear in mind that the baby is probably best in your room for the first few months. We set up a nursery and didn;t use it at all for the first year.

Im having the same problem! im thinking of doing 2 of the walls in a s’sunnier’ type yellow and the other 2 in a paler yellow tinged white kind of colour. Have considered greens also. Maybe get some paint samples?

I’ve done my nursery a light yellow.
Its the Zeddy & Parsnip range from mama’s and papa’s.

I was gunno do it cream but i thought it was to plain, dull and everyone else seems to do theirs cream when they dunno what they are having.
I thought the light yellow looked nice and brightened the room up.
It’s the Lemon Topics coloured paint from B&Q.

I painted cream and sage green. We are decorating with baby animals — so it will be appropriate for a boy or girl.

you could do it yellow cream or mint green and cream can,t go wrong with these colours

You don’t WANT to know?? Or you don’t know YET.. If you don’t have a problem with finding out, then just wait until you’re 5 months along and find out! THen you’ll know exactly how to decorate..

If you want to be surprised, then personally I prefer a nice pastel green for a unisex color, rather than yellow. Yellow to me has always been a feminine color.. I’ve never considered it unisex.. That’s just me.

Maybe a classic winnie the poo theme with cream and a nice green that would look nice for a boy or girl..

Congrats!! My sis-in law just had a little boy 4 weeks ago!! But she knew he was a boy since she was 5 months along.. She knew with her 3-year-old (girl) too…

I went with a cream yellow for the walls and a Beatrix Potter theme. They stopped making Beatrix Potter nursery decor a few years ago so it was fun shopping for items online & at thrift/antique stores. I ended up spending about 30% less on unique bedding (still new in package) than I would have if I had bought at a Babiesrus or elsewhere. I offset the walls with soft green accents: curtains, hamper, diaper pad cover, etc. It is so soothing & relaxing. The room has an overall vintage feel to it. Perfect for a boy or a girl.

my daughter painted her nursery cream with just one mint coloured wall then added a few peter rabbit stickers on the ones that peel off so you can change when you feel like it .and it looked lovely and simple with just nice accessories
