It’s solid wood and has lasted through two kids very well. It does convert into a million different things, but we’ve never used it for anything other than a crib. The only scratches its gotten is from the kids biting on the rail, it does have a teething bar on one rail, but the other parts have gotten chewed on too. I think when we got it nearly 5 years ago we paid about $350 including shipping and tax. I don’t see the exact mission style crib on their site anymore, but they have a lot of cute cribs.
