We have a 2 year old, with a full size crib and a toddler bed. We also have a 7 mo old who is sleeping in the crib, what we want to do is buy 2 mini cribs(going with the same furniture for all the growing up time means we can splurge a bit on dresser and rocking chair) so we can turn them into singles later on, when our 7 mo old outgrows it he can go into the toddler bed and we can turn it to a single, then when the next baby outgrows the other(we are due in feb) we will turn it into a single for our 7 mo old son and the baby will get the toddler bed, space is what the issue is here we bought the house and found out our birth control had not worked as well as we thought and so now have 2 small childrens bedrooms and neither fits 2 cribs and a changing table and rocker comfortably but with the length decrease on the mini crib we can fit it all in here is the crib i am looking at http://www.minitots.com/store/detail~Da-Vinci-_2525.htm
Those look like a great solution, although I was see if you can get a matress to fit inside of it, as the one it has probably wont be best. Price usually ='s quality.
Choosing a crib that turns into a bed is a very smart choice when you will have 3 young children. Also keeping them the same will help.
I think it is a great idea. You can sell the full sized crib and toddler bed now aswell, and put it towards getting all the beds matching.
Your quesiton was a little hard to follow with the childrens ages etc etc, but we get the point. Small amount of space, 3 children. You can also co-sleep with new baby until the other children are out of a crib and into a single bed. This might save some cash and space that you all seem to need right now!
Have fun with all the love!

ok so i have been looking at the jenny lind crib and changer. when i went on babies r us it had two types at diff. prices. they are the same crib and changer on outward appearances. one is the delta jenny lind 3 in 1 crib and its priced at 129.99 the other is the da vinci jenny lind 3 in 1 crib and its priced at 229.99. why are the same cribs priced diff. ?
Well the 3-in-1 only comes in white and the Da Vinci comes in more colours and says it has "Adjustable 4 level mattress spring system so you can adjust to your infant's growth"
I find it shocking that the US still allows springs but anyway.

My husband and I are planning our first child and while i know we have some time to go before we need a crib and changing table and all that we want to know just how much we should be saving based on our income. I LOVE pottery barn baby but their stuff is very pricey , ( if i want he'll buy it ) but there is also that Da vinci nursery line and it is as nice but it is priced better and it isn't ugly. Can anyone help ?
We plan on having 3 three children ... all the cribs I'm looking at are convertible into bigger beds so ill just have to buy another crib later , but thats only with the first two children after that i don't want them sharing rooms
It depends on your income. Just remember, what you plan might not happen. I was planning to have four but after one, I am like uhhhhh maybe just two. LOL. Also, if you plan to hand it down and use it for all kids then why not splurge if you have the funds - just make sure to get neutral tones for different sexes. Also, I personally think changing table is a waste. I have yet to change baby on a changing table.

My husband and I have our crib set picked out and we are ordering everything online. The crib is coming from Amazon at an unbeatable price, and we picked a dresser from Babies R' Us. They are the same maker (Da Vinci) but not technically part of the same set. Will they come in different Cherry finishes?
Chances are that if it says cherry it will probably be the same if not very similar. In the retail furnature area, most finishes only come with one color, the difference is with the types of wood used. Oak wood stain differently than Pine. Call the customer service center.
