Wes learned how to crawl out of his crib so we had to put this tent on. It is supposed to keep pets out but Kevin put extra ties on it so there is no way Wes will get out. I plan on leaving him in the crib until he is 18

I've been looking at cribs and really like this one, the only thing I'm worried about is that it has a stationary side and I am short so i don't know how easy it would be to get baby in and out. Does anyone have this crib? How is working out? Any advice welcomed. Thanks!
i had that problem with my son's crib. it kills your arms, lol. before you buy it, i would go to a place that sells them, which i think target does in your case, and see if you can reach over it. they usually have a few on display. if your heart is really set on it anyways (mine would be, beautiful crib!), get a sturdy step stool that looks pretty in the baby's room, but is also handy for getting the baby in and out of the crib. hope it helps and good luck with your crib search!

I just heard from 2 people that you're not supposed to use the bumpers that come with crib bedding, but why not??
I thought the bumpers were for safety so baby doesn't bang his head into the wooden rails???
Wow I had no idea about the risk of SIDS from bumpers and was about to order a crib bedding set. Anyone know where to get the mesh bumpers?
All the cribs i've been looking at have those bumpers on them. You have to have some sort of cover there, otherwise the flailing baby is likely to get something stuck between the slats.
However, you needn't get the plastic ones nowadays. There is a mesh like alternative available, this stops the baby's hands/legs getting through, while not restricting airflow. Also, they are flexible, so they can't be climbed on to get out of the crib when baby is a bit more mobile.

I've been looking at places like Target and Babies R Us. I want a convertible crib, I like the sleigh look. Thanks.
Also, do consider places like Wal Mart. They have a good return policy, and places like Costco or Sam's Club may have good deals as well! Good luck!

I'm buying a mini crib for my daughter and I want to make crib bedding myself. I need the measurements of fabrics I'll need to make a bumper, ruffle/skirt and quilt/blanket. Anyone wanna help out? To be exact, I'll be getting the Da Vinci Mini Crib from Babies R Us.... Thanks!!!
Go to a store that sells patterns and go from there.Good luck to you.

I am a furniture designer and I am interested in creating a nursery line. Do you Moms/Dads have any suggestions on how to make my cribs more convenient for you? I love modern furniture, so definitely this line will be modern as well. I am also planing to make it eco-friendly, and convertible (crib-daybed). What would you like to see in the future cribs? Any problems with you current cribs, suggestions? THANK YOU!
Definitely convertible, it saves so much money. It can be their bed for their whole lives.
Some how make it hard to scratch/dent.
One side being able to be lowered would be a huge plus which I don't have.
